How It Came Together

Jamie White, owner of Lost & Found, came to Drinking Buddies and Trovador Rum, a Nashville rum brand, wanting to put on a daiquiri competition. Drinking Buddies built the event structure and pulled in our network of bars from across the city, and together we created a once-in-a-summer experience that's now becoming an annual event at Lost & Found.

We generated a lot of hype on a very limited budget: our two announcement posts alone reached 22.7K people on Instagram with only 500 followers, on top of a packed rooftop and glowing feedback from everyone who came out.

How It Ran

Round 1 · People's Choice

Guests got a $10 wristband and a Trovador coaster as their voting coin for the night, dropping it at the bar of their choice. The three bars with the most coasters advanced to the judges' round.

Round 2 · Dagger Pull

The top three bars drew a dagger from the ingredients box, pull order set by ranking, first place pulling first. Each dagger carried a different level of challenge, and whatever got pulled had to go into the daiquiri. A panel of judges picked the winner and the $500 prize.
